I love dusk and twilight
The veil of nights too
The way the palms sweep the dark
As if on nature's cue
And how the silver stars shine
Drops that twinkle bright
Midst a tranquil ebon sky
That plays with dark and light
I love the way clouds cluster
And sometimes hang so low
Mid air dreaming in stillness
Then drift by ever so slow
And how the tickled leaves
Seem on a joyous high
As they wave to blazing Venus
Above them in the sky
I love to catch a glimpse
Of the round or slivered moon
Breathing in night fragrances
Of white nocturnal blooms
I love the calm and beauty
That night quietly brings
The mystic mystique that senses
Love to soak in
