The New Girl Poem by Brandi Lamson

The New Girl

Dressed in all black, she is a shadow.
Lost like a new born baby panther.
She is the new girl of the school.
You've heard stories about her and wonder if they're true.

A dark aura engulfs her soul turning it black like the night.
When you bump into her, books fall along with her bracelets.
She rushes to hide her wrists, but you've discovered her secret.
Her brown eyes are like death, cold and depressing.

As she walks by the scent of roses invades your nose.
A breeze runs its sinister cold fingers down your skin when she's near.
You don't realize you've bitten your lip until u taste blood.
As your yearly goal you promise yourself you will hear her speak.

You slowly get to know each other through notes.
You realize you've failed your goal when the last day comes.
The last bell rings and you walk out to see her.
She turns around to see you and she hugs you.
'Thanks for being my friend.' She says in a voice that makes your heart melt.

While out on a summer walk you see her looking down at her hands.
You get closer and you notice her wrists are crying tears of blood.
'Crack! ' you hear the thunder says as it starts pouring rain.
You both walk to your house to heal her pain.
