'The Night Is Darkest Just Before The Dawn; The Dawn Is Coming.' Poem by Sagi Writes

'The Night Is Darkest Just Before The Dawn; The Dawn Is Coming.'

Rating: 4.7

This year, I have learned a lot of things
In this world of many terrible happenings
Pandemic, Ukraine war, and calamity
Compelling us to wonder what happened to humanity.

I have witnessed many innocent children every year
Where homelessness is their biggest fear,
Their eyes scream out for peace
Hearts that pray, war and hate shall cease.

I have experienced storms that travel many miles,
Destroy houses through their fiery eyes,
Cause damage to many lives
And fill the air with roaring cries.

However, in the midst of these inhuman events,
acts of kindness prevail
Standing still, for love and faith never fail
It's time to open our eyes and witness the light after this darkness
And let the everlasting love of God fill our emptiness.

'The Night Is Darkest Just Before The Dawn; The Dawn Is Coming.'

This is a beautiful poem! When something dark or sad happens God is there to make it better. I enjoyed this poem. Keep on writing poems! : )

A beautiful sentiment is written into several sad events occurring on a horrific or global scale; yet a love for God shines in these well crafted lines; and truth is written in the title, strangely it is darkest in an hour proceeding dawn.

Last two years we experienced the calamity and the queue of corpse for the COVID-19; that is the darkest period of the millennium; superbly crafted the poem and nicely choose the poetic diction; I enjoyed
