Writing To Forget You Poem by Sagi Writes

Writing To Forget You

Rating: 5.0

I'll write all our bittersweet memories in every piece of my journal,
filling it with our shared joys, laughters, and tears.
More pages might be full of haunted thoughts and questions about how you left me.
However, I will keep writing until I shed no tears.

I'll leave some space to let the love spill and the words bleed.
With my burning and longing touch, I will call it art.
Where reminiscing about your sweet voice and warm caresses will add color to my masterpiece
and how you hold me like the moon, allowing me to shine even though I'm not whole.

I will make some notes so I know where to pause.
To ponder that once a warm healing place has now become a labyrinth full of doubts that hurt deep within my aching bones.
Once a love like dewdrops in the sunshine, now an endless rain in my nights.

I will keep writing our stories until I reach the end of the page.
I will let these eyes see an ocean until the waves become still.
I will let this hand get tired until it gets numb and feels no pain.

Because I know the moment I reach the end, I will close our stories, and it's time for me to write another chapter with neither of us in it.

If I wrote this was the best journal reference piece of prose I have ever read, it would still be an understatement and a lie; this is an exquisite piece of heartfelt literature. A brilliant way to forget to heal.
