The Nocturnal Dreams Poem by Asma Khan

The Nocturnal Dreams

And the sun dwelled into my soul
burning all desires like char coal

hushing a secret song into my ears
shaking ground beneath my fears

wrap the shoulders of time with seasons
to wind all circumstances with reasons

signify the attendance of colors in my funeral
your presence will turn the time beautiful

caress the waves that bring shores to your end
confiding all secrets that were never penned

hold on to the last breath in the soul
till the sun rises again and takes over the control

which never could the dying dawn convey
unless the sunshine was brought my way

Between all the torments of nature's catastrophe
the sweetest is one's heart's majesty

And there came upon a twinkle in the eyes of the moon
feeding every star with a silver spoon

feather the dreams with your soul's light
till they flicker and shine so much bright
