The Only Way Out... Poem by Darren Harris

I can't take this life anymore,
Because there's no one by my side,
And I've noticed lately that my thoughts,
My thoughts are all of suicide,

My body aches from painful cuts,
Deep cuts that never heal,
And no one ever realized,
My pain that is so real,

I cry at night and cut my skin,
With a razor blade and with precision,
But none of you tried to help me,
So I've come to a decision,

Tonight’s the night I give in,
I can't take this anymore,
The next time that you see me,
My blood will be spilt upon the floor,

I've tried to reach out many times,
But none of you took me by the hand,
So I've come to the conclusion
That you just didn't understand

I need to die, It's meant to be,
I'm torn without a doubt,
But I’ve made the right decision
Death is my only way out...
