The Past Has Gone Forever Poem by Francis Duggan

The Past Has Gone Forever

Rating: 5.0

The past has gone forever and time ticks away
We can only live in the now and the now is today
The past good or bad for us a memory
And that we must live in the now is our reality
The past is behind us and forever dead
And time ticking on and the future ahead
The present is what matters and what will be will be
For into the future even the psychic cannot see
The sun brightly shining in a cloudless sky
And the young bird for food to her parents does cry
Like us they too only can live in the now
Though to the father of time we eventually must bow
The present is what matters and time ticks on fast
And as for the past well it is in the past.
