The Poem Began To Laugh - Poem by Shalom Freedman

The poem began to laugh
And took me away with it in joy-
And I understood
Just saying and feeling
Feeling and writing
Can be
Though it is an ordinary and simple thing
A way to the stars
And beyond them.
