THE POEM I AM ABOUT TO WRITE

The poem I am about to write
Cannot be written
I do not have faith in it
I do not have faith in myself

These lines of confession
Are all I have
And I write them down
Not because I believe they are of any real worth
But because I am so desperate to do something
And this is what I can do now

Small lines
Are you a poem?
Am I a poet?
Or is it all a game of self- delusion
In which I endlessly fool myself
And arrive at nowhere
Because I am only nothing?
