The Point Of All Let Go Poem by David Thomas

The Point Of All Let Go

you were my closest friend
you knew me well as i myself,
if not better for the matter
Never did i want us to part
despite all fears and demons
that swam in our two great minds
bathing our souls in colors of distrust,
when i reached the point of all let go,
i thought of all our times together
the times we spent
of all shades of color and emotion,
the inner vigor of life that forever hides so easy
and i cried a great many tears
as i realized that i will never see you what's more,
but forever in my mind kept close
are the words repeating,
what is meant to be will be,
and so forever i let you of my mind be free-
please do not forget me.
