The Prisoner

grim weight
this incessant darkness
small gremlins
a crawling bane
my limbs
still and useless
I endure
each morning rain

deep woe
the countless days
I explore
this labyrinth room
sweet voices
harry the prisoner
they haunt
my lonely tomb

the allure
of eldritch sorcery
black widow
captures the fly
a fool
protects his fantasy
true echo
has matching reply

fortune smiles
upon our meeting
I rewind
that fateful day
fragile love
passions fast bleeding
grand themes
hark the play

winery bribes
temptation grows boldly
lust barters
the heaviest toll
absolute trust
I offer eagerly
ones essence
my mortal soul

full blaze
your doll-eyes gleaming
long gaze
soft tissues harden
ebon arts
present and frightening
sour exits
banish thy pardon

smooth coils
your gorgon symmetry
asps writhe
to midnights mystery
wild eyes
devour my gallantry
brief moments
become a history

many escapes
that I ponder
stone prison
binds me strong
new centuries
that I conquer
loves agony
my errant wrong
