The Promise Poem by Sumanta Roy

The Promise

Rating: 5.0

O' Mother
How innocent, gentle-eyed you are!
In this cruel, inhuman world.
O' Mother
You are the great soilder,
In the whole world.
You are the only one,
Who can drive away all the trouble.
O' Mother
How beautiful your smile!
As a flower become bright
On fall light of the morning sun,
That most beautiful in the world.
O' Mother
How sweet your lullaby!
As a linnet sings near.
O' Mother
You are my worshipful God,
I shall give you smile instead of that tear.
