The Promise

No other Love have I,
That will satisfy,
This lonely feeling,
Or send my heart reeling,
Into the sky.

No, I don't have wings,
But when heaven sings,
And I feel your eyes,
The very thought of you,
Births Spring in my heart,
And I'm satisfied.

The world then turns radiant and gay,
And I will love you more tomorrow,
Than I do today.
I promise,
Come what may.

Your poems are like multi-colored flowers in a beautiful garden, beside which I take an every day walk, a must, sometimes with pause to marvel at those, sometimes just to see the beauty and pass by!
Stay well, my Friend. Peace! (Report) Reply

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
