The Racist Man Poem by C. K. Young

The Racist Man

Rating: 4.5

A man came up and insulted my race
Insults my culture right in my face
I became angered, and with no disregard
I clench my fist and strike him real hard
He falls, blood running down his nose
And I was about to unleash hell from his head to his toes
But something held me back
A voice in my head told me not to attack
He stood up and lunged at me
But then he received my solid right knee
He didn't hurt me, but he hurt my pride
Full of shame, the man ran to hide
He lost his dignity, and just so you know
Think twice before you mess with a Filipino
