The Rain Poem by Roshan Roy

The Rain

My heart leaps up with joy
When I see lightning in the sky
Thunder seems much terrifying
Happiest are the germinating seeds lying
When cold droplets strike the window-pane
I go outside to enjoy the rain
God showers the cold kiss
And my heart cheers with bliss
It's the moment when sorrows get washed
And everywhere music of freedom is heard
It's the moment when tears get washed
And everywhere colors of love is seen
After the rain, the rainbow smiles
I wish I could swing out there
Birds emerge singing from their nest
And I think myself should get a rest.
