The Rain Keeps Falling Poem by David Darbyshire

The Rain Keeps Falling

The rain keeps falling
Water continues to rise
Our nature's calling
From it's faded skies

Been raining all morning
The banks have eroded
Floods are a warning
Mother is over loaded

Sand bags are packed high
Rain still falls from the sky
The pumps are on full blast
Wonder how long will it last

The sun pops out from behind a cloud
Cheers and smiles came from the crowd
They all kneel and pray
Oh happy day oh happy day
