The Reasonable Man Self-Called Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Reasonable Man Self-Called

The Reasonable Man self-called
He stood delighted
And self-satisfied.
But we
We in this relativity
To Self-Satisfaction be entitled?
Shall that not settle into Dogmas?
Shall that not freeze?
Be that not paralysis relative of the Dogmatic?
Fret
Fret unstable relative
Be life
For that be Life
And you be in it
Dance to the Rebel Tune
Unsatisfied ever
Not scowling, but dancing,
Dancing
Dancing.
