The Revelation Of A Witness Poem by SREEJITH KULAPARAMBIL

The Revelation Of A Witness

It's just a matter of time
One day I will be there,
On deathbed,
Lying bare and helpless
Conscious may be I am,
Yet uttering no words,

Waiting for my last call,
Disturb me not, at that moment,
My spirit longing for a soulful union
None will be part of my journey
Nor could share the pain and agony

At that moment,
Let me go,
To that ultimate abode
We are all travelers,
Came here for a while,
Everyone will follow,
sooner or later
though, path is undefined

Wealth, fame and Knowledge,
None can spare you life,
Nor friends and Kin can stop you,
With their earnest desire.

Love this body,
Possess it not even for once,
It will perish one day
Do what you can
To bring smiles on million faces,
Until you exhaust,
Then, bid adieu to this place peacefully.

Hi Sreejith, Very poignantly expressed the thoughts on the final adieu. Nothing can stop us in that journey. In the school, I had studied a poem by Sr Mary Beninja, starting, ദിനാന്ത സൂര്യരശ്മി തട്ടിടാത്ത നാട്ടിൽ, which is about the last journey. On my page you may find a poem: : Silent Prayer: : , on the subject. Beautifully written. Good. Pl continue writing. All the best.
