The River It Flowed Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The River It Flowed

The River it flowed
Ruthless it flowed
And dark as night
It came before the night
Bones,
Skulls,
Diaphragms of bone
Arms
Hands
All rolled
Down
Down
Down
And the River flowed
Ruthless it flowed
Not to a Shore
But Ocean wide
Where it was night
Moon above sailed.
And rest was stars
And rest was dark.
