The Roads Poem by Wilfred Alford

The Roads

Two roads pressed deep in my heart,
I took the one less broken and scared. Being
sure that the other would lead me into the
dark...man was I wrong and I now know why.
It wasn't the roads that were bad, but my own
broken soul. Not knowing that two roads
could be the same...I traveled the other
instead...only to realize that it was all
in the head. So I made a new road and filled
it with more goals, love and care. Yet still on
this road I have those days, but even so I
alway remember my name.
