The Rose Poem by Neela Nath Das

The Rose

Rating: 5.0

I took a rose and
Tore its petal.
I couldn't know still
If he loves me at all.
I drew a big heart
On a tree's bark.
I didn't get love
By making that mark.
I destroyed nature
To impress a guy.
All my efforts failed,
As it was a wrong try.

A Short and Sweet write Neela. Very true said, sometimes failure happens but that is not the end of trying. Loved the way you presented it.

A nice rhyming piece. Some times difficult to find the best fit. Thanks for sharing.

No failure occurred, perhaps misdirected vision
