They were wise and experienced men
Ascended into power
By virtue of their political acuity
But they were like plagues
That hit their nations.
They governed
With absolute power
Wielded their swords
With the greatest fury
And filled their lands with blood
They brought deaths
More than the plagues.
No man will ever rise
To power again
And commit genocide
For God Almighty
And humanity
Will never allow them.
No one shall ever
Ever be born again
In the likeness
Of the ruinous heads
For they have etched
Their names in hell.
The Ruinous Heads, ........... yes dear poetess, you have correctly penned and addressed them the ruinous head, They governed With absolute power Wielded their swords With the greatest fury And filled their lands with blood They brought deaths More than the plagues........... thanks for sharing the poem with us
Such a wonderful comment that I will always treasure. Thank you, . Muzahidul.
No one shall ever Ever be born again In the likeness Of the ruinous heads.....Sweet expression and fluid movement! Loved reading your poem Rose, you are a gifted poetess! God bless you
I liked the last two stanzas of your powerful write Madam Rose.
Well..they are nailed. Powerful writing, Rose Mary.5 stars for sure
A most powerful poem Rose Marie and you have thankfully pulled no punches. Political punches that is. I think its marvellous a poet/poetess can express themselves without and fear of retaliation. And the obtuse power hungry so called representatives of the people are dwindling in numbers and wither on the vine. Easily now accountable, transparent. Five stars Rose Marie and thank you. Take care.
For they have etched Their names in.......true.I agree with you. Thank u. anjandev roy.
No man will ever rise To power again And commit genocide For God Almighty And humanity Will never allow them........touching expression. Well penned. Beautiful poem. Thanks for sharing.10
