The Scourge Poem by oliver phiri

The Scourge

Like an avalanche came the scourge…
Babies, men, women and the aged
It knows no age…
Hundreds died in just its early stage…
Black white pink or yellow…
It knows no race….
The good the bad and the ugly…
It doesn’t care, it came to damage.
Some say coz of sins we sinned…now it has come for revenge…
It came to ravage…
It’s a savage…and it’s not on the same page…
Its face…full of rage.
It’s at home when people are like living in a cage….
Please Jehovah! Help us curb this scourge of
AIDS……! ! ! ! !
