The Secret Potato Poem by Ashley Bachtel

The Secret Potato

Rating: 4.8

Theres a potato on my head!
Yes, a potato, that's what I said
Its big and fat and borwn and round
and covered in dirt from growing in the ground

Where'd it come from, and how'd it find
a spot to perch above my mind?
Its spuddies whisper soft and mild
A potato talk? I must be wild!

I picked it up and squeezed it hard
and chucked it right across the yard
Then that potato began to glow
I stared and shook my head, backing away real slow

It freaked me out, I turned and ran
the potato got picked up by a hobo man
what happened next, I'll never know
but I know that was an odd potato!
