The Shadow of Your Smile

All reminiscent of time passed
the happy times that came and departed
the times of laughter, joy and sunny days
all now in memory lane
will one bring back
what one cherished and the heart clung to?
could one bring the past
that seems had betrayed us
and rolled much fast
one wonders and feel awe
for the moments of life that do not come back
all flashes in mind
at the shadow of your smile

Poem of the Day

poet Robert William Service

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
