The Snowflake And The Stone Poem by Josh Southern

The Snowflake And The Stone

Rating: 5.0

She was the stone next to the sea,
Pushing against the passing breeze.
I was the snowflake in the rain
And I fell and stumbled between endless drops.
Hear my pain, my anguish, my cry
As I travelled alone through the clouded sky.
Then at last I hit the ground,
For a moment at peace and then I drowned.
The water thick, the ground too warm,
I melted beneath the raging storm.
But I thought of the beauty that I had shown
And how one day I'd meet the lonely stone.
