The Soliciting Poem by Lal Parameswar

The Soliciting

Hide me from the fires,
The fires of fear and deepest despair,
The daggers of desire killed our light,
Pouring darkness in thunder and lightning,
Innocence lost, the fair is foul,
The damned now holds the light of hope.
Let me cry and never be heard,
Drowning in the storm and rain of emptiness,
Rip my heart and drink my light,
Hide my soul but hold me tight,
Lead me to that profound sea,
The sea of death and then peace.
