The Soul's Battle Of Light And Darkness Poem by Samson Ajilore

The Soul's Battle Of Light And Darkness

THE SOUL’S BATTLE OF LIGHT AND DARKNESS
Many are the afflictions of the righteous one
Many are the troubles of his soul within
The waters may want to cover him up
The mire may seem to have buried him low
It may look as if there is no hope at-all
As darkness might seems to claim his soul
And the hordes of hell rejoice upon his state

Many around may think he is forever gone
They may not even notice for signs still follow him
His feet may seem far removed from the path of Light
As the struggle between his spirit and soul persists
That keeps the righteous in an inner state of horror

Confusion may come and his strength might fail
The righteous may wander from the path of light
As the struggle may be on for a very long time
Until he thinks there is no hope of recovery again
And cry day and night “Holy Spirit where art thou? ”

The righteous will not rejoice in unrighteousness
For the spirit of the just is joined with the Christ
And the glorious light of God is bright within him
For The darkness in his soul shall never prevail
As the light in his spirit shall light upon his soul
For darkness cannot truly prevail upon light
No matter how long the struggle might persist

If the just return to the Word of Light
If the just to the Spirit will call and heed
If the just to the Water shall go to wash
Then the cleansing shall begin again within
Until darkness has been fully washed off his soul
And his conscience purged by the Lamb’s own blood
Then shall sin be removed from the righteous’ soul

Suddenly the light of God is upon his path again
And his eyes will begin to clearly see again
For though the righteous may fall seven times
Though he may so fall that the dark seem to have him
He shall never belong to the side of the dark
For light does not belong unto darkness at-all

He shall forever shine again with greater glory
He shall rise again with a brighter light
Then shall it be recalled that the saying is true
That though a just man falls over seven times
He will rise again in all the seven times and over
And will shine again with light greater than former
For the light in him is stronger than all darkness

Therefore fear not oh righteous one of God
And let not your tears forever flow as if hopeless
No matter what you may be going through
Let thy soul to the Light return again and again
And put thy faith in the Love of the God within
For the Holy One does not give up at-all upon you
No matter what you may seems to struggle with

Though thy strength might be failing within thee
And thy walls may seem crumbling before thee
As the gloom seems fastening deeper upon thy soul
Remember there is a greater One within thee
And His strength is made perfect in thy weakness
And His grace is always more than enough for thee
For Light has won and forever shall win over darkness
And In the end thy soul shall be kept as the Lord’s

An excellent spiritual poem! ! ! Afflictions and troubles have a lot of room in our heart; for shall He wipe out all our pains; He is the God of righteous man! ! !
