The Sounds Of Cars, Trucks, Trains Disappear Poem by Gert Strydom

The Sounds Of Cars, Trucks, Trains Disappear

The sounds of cars, trucks, trains disappear
when the night comes dark and suddenly the moon shines.
Somewhere outside a dove calls to its mate
and amber lights wink one after the other
when I do wonder about what you are doing, are longing more
as to now I did know that I could.
