The Spark Poem by William Baez

The Spark

Perhaps another time my love
I am in need of rest.
When linked bodies rise to best
and our infused souls soar above.

Thus it begins the back and forth
twining and melting fuse,
you take and I must lose.
Joining opposites of south and north.

The sweat; the passion en kindled.
Give me your life to bear,
of me my heart to share.
Both energies are mingled.

But you know how this is my dear.
The anger, the fury
between your love and mine.
I suppose I love when we fight.
