The Spring Has Gone Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Spring Has Gone

It is time to pack and leave
With all that I believed
Professed and practiced
Yet committed and promised

I have seen childhood
And fully understood
That life shall not be easy
And has to keep all the time busy

The period of innocence too passed
So much wealth too amassed
It was enough to last long
For family and children for song

Now I look back and smile
Count those hard days too meanwhile
There is no remorse
For any reason to remember with curse

Yes, spring has gone
And autumn has set in
I may stick to the period allowed
The journey for other land may be followed
