The Stone And The Sun Poem by Suki Nakamura

The Stone And The Sun

the stone and the sun
made a pact
that everyday they must see
each other eye to eye
without blinking whatever
the truth may be

the grasses have nothing to say
on this enduring fidelity

one is too hot while the other is too numb
