The Sun Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

The Sun

The Sun

sunsets
I love them
but suddenly so many sunsets pop up
in Perth, Seattle, or Jakarta
wherever I go
I can see the sun
the sunset
sunsets

I went yesterday
to the sun
I added the photograph here
can you see the picture in this atmosphere?

where I am in this barren cold atmosphere
I'm still happy and having fun
since I can still see the sun
great food too
know
these nostalgic dishes
sweet and delicious
to consume
and to drink wine
red wine
Margaux or Saint-Emilion
just one glass, not in oblivion
in
the sun
have fun too
in my flight to the sun
sunset
I love it
