The Sun Always Rises Poem by Nicholas Titus

The Sun Always Rises

He stands in the mirror
Thoughts fly through his head
But he wishes they were clearer
Toe to toe
He faces his past
Face to face
Nervous his lip quiver
This feeling won’t last
Back to back
With this desolate wall
He sees his shadow
But it stands quite small
Elbow to elbow
Right next to his friend
The message is mixed hard to apprehend
He looks in the mirror
Takes one last glance
The sun always rises
He will have one more chance.
