The Sun Cycle Poem by Alex Fischer

The Sun Cycle

The sunset falls down upon the Earth
None can predict it’s humongous girth
Casting it’s light o’er the land
Nothing like this could be drawn by human hand
Spreading it’s light ‘cross the land

It overcomes the ebbing darkness
And for a time it cleanses this evil land

Some would call it an explosion of colors
Some would call it a supernova
Yet I like to call it a beauty above all others
As I roll back under the covers

The colors fade
I see different colors every day
Night wanes
Stars start to shine upon the plains
Soon night will break into day
Night has ended
The sun comes forth
Bringing its wond’rous light upon this world of lore

Day lasts for a while
Yet soon gives sway
And once again the sunset falls
As an explosion of colors
