The Sun Will Rise Like Days Of Old Poem by Temitope Adebowale

The Sun Will Rise Like Days Of Old

Rating: 5.0

After a long strive in this life
I'm to go home in an armada of zabras[1]
For the zains shall fall into pain after a long weary journey
For the sun have set to rise no more

After an overdrive as a human
I'm on my way to the embalmer
For this body is a gain in the journey to afterlife
For the sun have set to rise no more

After a dive into eternity
I take my place on the pantheon of the gods receiving an ember as a gift
As Olodumare[2] rains His blessings on me
For the sun have set to rise no more

After a rife dosage of zachun
I'm robed in a zamarra as I begin a new life, as a griffin
For my reign's priority is to safe guard the living
For the sun have set to rise no more

After thriving in my role as the protector of my people
Making the ember to ignite fire in my heart
I'm alive again as a superpower having surpassed all expectations
The living are joyful for the sun will rise again, like the days of old
