The Things Done in the Inner Room of the Palace of Wei Poem by Helen Jane Waddell

The Things Done in the Inner Room of the Palace of Wei

The tribulus grows on the wall,
Upon the stain.
The things done in that inner room
Men cannot name.

The tribulus grows on the wall.
The stain is old.
The evil of that inner room
May not be told.

translated from the Chinese; written B.C. 700
