The Treasured Water

My roots firmly implanted in your cold stream,
growth of fruit from the connection of the vine,
water flowing and restoring my mind,
a cold flower wrapped in the Father's warm love,
surrounded by fire from above,
a rose implanted by the stream,
watching as the treasured waters do gleam

My water’s edge that does not perish
Vineyards filled with grapes
Overflowing vats of my beloved Rose of Sharon
Coming from a new born life
A wonderful love I do see before me
With a heart filled with nothing but Him
Filling my heart with water over the rim

My heart beats as the birds chirp
The leaves rustle in front of me
Yet my eyes are glued to the water
A firefly on the rocks of eternity
Flowing with the streams steady breeze
I jump in to submerge myself in Spirit
I clothe myself with the water to wear it

A storm rolls in from up above
Yet the waters cooling current carry’s me away
Into the mountains of the joy
Where some others have lain
Like the depth of an ocean that lay ahead of me
Is the valley of promise I do see
A wedding being prepared by a stream
A treasured water that does gleam

The redeeming waters never end
A perfect water to just jump in
Flowing to a garden in the mountain
Where a wedding feast to be held
A rose will find its match in the garden
Where the river will give a new life fulfilled
Just like the stream that carried had willed

Poem of the Day

poet Wilfred Owen

All sounds have been as music to my listening:
Pacific lamentations of slow bells,
The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening,
Shuffle of autumn leaves; and all farewells:
