I was once a tree
Standing tall in the forest,
With all my brothers and sisters
Living in peace.
One day, some humans came,
And cut us all down.
'No! Don't cut us please! ' we screamed.
But the humans didn't listen.
They loaded us up
On a large truck.
They cut us some more,
And flattened us up.
Now I don't know
Where my brothers and sisters are,
Or where is my home.
I'm just a piece of paper.
Trees are a gift of nature for the living organisms including human being's survival. It gives lot of shade in summer, wind and coolness in its shades, giving lot of elixir of life that is oxygen taking back of the carbon dioxide and also keeps water table with purity, and atlast surrender itself to the nature giving good natural manures and fossils, and the wonderful trees were ever the friends of nature and to the human being. But unfortunately for necessity or not the humans have destroyed them for his selfish motives as well as necessities without botheration to replant a seedling for tomorrow. The theme is wonderful and relevant in the time of lot of deforestation and the community awakening is essential for protecting valued trees and desist the attempts to cut and remove unnecessarily and also get it replanted with new seedlings.
