The Truth Poem by Soumita Sarkar

The Truth

Rating: 3.5

You came in my life
like a stranger
the story then began
Your closeness said
You are my love.

Unbelievable
Impossible
That was a lie.

But the truth was hidden
The lie hid it.
The lie was strong and hard
to penetrate.

You cried your heart out
and waited for my call...
You waited for my smile...

I played.
I feared to loose my identity.
I held my emotions
I told lies.
I wanted to kill your dreams.
I wanted to end the story.

But the truth was hidden
My lie hid it.

Lonely was I in need of love
Waiting for a loving touch
I allowed my emotions to sail.
I allowed my reasons to fail.
I allowed my dreams to soil.

Now, we know the truth is out
nowhere you can sense the lie
We both resonate in one play fair
as love is in the air.
