The Truth I’ve Seen (2)

Can God still use a child like me?
Have I the strength to tell?
Can yet the world, be made to see?
Her children’s bound for hell

My neighbours say it can’t be done
Some friends and colleagues too
But while I serve God’s living Son
His path I must pursue

It matters not what others say
What foolish tongues reveal
In Jesus Christ I’ve found the way
To live the life that’s real

I’ve witnessed here I’ve challenged there
I’ve watched the proud walk tall
I gave what Jesus had to share
But still I see them fall

I’ve seen them come I’ve watched them go
I’ve seen them live and die
I see them fail by what they sow
And watch them wonder why

But still I’ve hope my faith is strong
In Christ I’m more than sure
If God has called to sing my song
I know that I’ll endure

A deeper depth a higher height
I know in Christ I’ll cope
At last the world may see The Light
And learn The Truth to hope

Thank God I’m in His mighty hand
I’m wise to Satan’s lies
If yet I hear The Lord’s command
In truth again I’ll rise.
