The Tunnel Of Despair Poem by Melissa Coleman

The Tunnel Of Despair

Rating: 5.0

It stretches out boundlessly in every way
The darkness enveloped me whole
Except for the vague light from far away
It held me a great toll

The only thing I have left to spare
I follow it day and night
Without it I would not care
This holy light is what holds my life

When it falls short
I no longer see a reason to keep reaching
It makes me immediately want to abort
To just stop breathing

Till I can see its tiny speck
I chase after the only thing I have left
