The day had just crawled to an end...
Waiting for the showers the July sky would send!
She stood there-a blank look on her pale face!
Wondering how she threw herself out of the race! !

It was all black clouds and the pouring rain...
As she dragged her feet wincing in pain!
Her teary eyes closed to see the dawn that may not be..
The choice was her's-to or to not find the key!

Her shattered mind began to sprint into the past...
To reach the end which was the beginning at last! !
And there they were-the little innocent eyes...
Dreams, hopes and the ambitious voice! !

She had set her goal, begun her ascent...
A winner to all, she was the growing crescent!
Rolling boulders and the trembling ground..
To her was no hindrance! her way she found!

And higher she moved, until the top she sighted...
Declared herself victorious, ran up excited!
Ran up... only to be shot by a lightning! But...how?
What deceived her were the black clouds above! !

The eyes now opened to see a muddy valley...
Where she lay-blank, lost n lonely!
Up she looked and realized it wasn't that easy....
And looked down at herself stuck and all greasy!

The choice was hers-to or to not find the key...
But up she rose, to change n reach where she meant to be! !
To show that we don't fail when we fall...
But when we stop trying at all! ! !
