As I see everyone with their partners
I stand there waiting, waiting for him to hold my hand
So we could tap our feet to the tune of the band

Love is in the air
but for me its just not fair
Thinking he won't come I wouldn't dare
Because I know for me he would always care

Suddenly I feel hands covering my eyes
I know it's him- now that can't be lies
I put his hand down turned around and said: 'I missed you around'
He just looked at me and gave me a smile
And that truly sent my heart running for a mile

He pulls me up to the floor
Lifts my feet off the ground
and spins me around
I feel like I'm in heaven
don't want him to stop
I just want more

The beats went faster and faster
and as we tried to cope
out of the blue my heel broke!
And before I could fall
he held me and said
'I will be there even before you call'

After that I couldn't even walk
He put his hands around me and carried me
Not a word did we talk
I just went on staring at him
His concerned look brought to my face a grin

He dropped me home
and bid me goodbye
And that was the best
the unforgettable waltz that had just gone by...
