The universe seems to be
A puzzle I must assemble
A million pieces, disordered and crumbled
And two of them - you and me
The universe is my task
A magic cube in my hands
It's strange, but to play the game to the end
I have to destroy my past
The universe is a sheet
A perfectly empty space
Imagine the future, imagine the place
Somewhere we could ever meet
Don't care about my time
Believe, I would spend it all
To put it together, to reach for your soul
To picture the world of mine

Universe the wonder natural phenomenon and the imaginations are also beautiful and the poem.
I found this poem very amazing, a true romantic poem, such beautiful imagery, wonderfully written. One of the best on PH. I enjoyed, Loyd, the simple poet
A wonderful verse about creating, assembling, nurturing the ingredients of true love.... beautifully crafted verse, simple words cleverly arranged to emphasize the simplicity of form but at the same time magnify the vivid images they portray.
Hi, Galina! It really is a very nice poem. I am sure you will assemble your magic cube and put all together in the right place. Best wishes and regards to you and your family. Yours sincerely,
You have the power in your hands to turn, anything you touch, into gold. Awesome piece of a master.
Gale, what about adding this poem of yours in the compilation ''Our Chains, Our Dreams''? Let me know, if it's ok Ciao F.

I would like to translate this poem
This poem connects the very largest realm - the Universe - with what must therefore be the smallest - the world of the individual. And they fit together in the most wonderful, surprising ways. By reducing the universe to a puzle of pieces, you also bring it down to the level of just two pieces, two people. It's a breathtaking sleight of hand with scale and all done in one stanza. The speaker says THE UNIVERSE IS MY TASK but it's really this radically reduced universe of her life which is the issue. She is willing to sacrifice so much for the future she envisions - her past, her time. I don't know why she must sacrifice these things? But what she gets is, I'm guessing here, a common ground with the man she loves. The key line for me is TO PUT IT TOGETHER, TO REACH FOR YOUR SOUL, because it suggests as the puzzle of the Universe is put back together, there is a soul union that is fulfilled.
