Wails, cries rings down the valley.
Women cry foul of abuse
Children wail for deprived rights
While men sob for depression
What a valley of life to live in!
It’s a dark evil valley of death.
Mourning voices fills the air,
Cries of poverty, ill health and shelter
When will there be peace in this valley?
Armed men and women fight over security
They hack each other mercilessly
Gangs have taken over the valley
Only wails and cries moist the nights.
Tattered clothed children roams the valley,
Boys and girls know no better shelter.
Education is a dream of the future
Diet, a longing to behold
While daily life is so far debauched
When will justice be proclaimed?
Surely, it is an evil valley.
‘Tis today that was our leaders future,
A future so bragged off as a true future,
One that belongs to our children
That tomorrow that is now all wails and agony
Must this valley bear the crosses and violence again?
I deny and demonstrate against it.
Hearts are united, as souls are aflame
With subjection’s of enthroned freedom
And scar-full bodies of men and women
In a unified cry, we don’t need mass graves anymore.
Let justice be done and peace prevail
In this dark valley of death.
