The Virgin Theory Poem by Roneece Pieters

The Virgin Theory

She's no virgin

She got penetrated too many times…

by false hopes, excuses, and rejections.

She has too much oral experience they say

Little do they know it's from crying out for help.

She used to spread her legs like the hands of a clock

In the sheets, one leg was sitting on the three and the other on nine

And she let him penetrate her on six

24/7.

If you assumed every female was a jezebel

For being separated from her long lost virginity

Think about the ones who lost it in hopes

Of no longer being virgins to love,

putting their hearts up for adoption.

Someone should've told her the system would fail her.

She learned a little too late that love doesn't come from

Magic words opening her sesame.

She tried to get her life back together

But archaeologists kept digging up her skeletons.

If she never had a real love

Never had real trust

Never had someone care for her

If she never grew up to maturity

Technically she's still a virgin, right?
