The Waiting Poem by Vesseljohnson Adewumi

The Waiting

If I could find a place
To put my thoughts in words
And tell it to the yearning ears
The beats and tunes of my dreams
I would... Yes, I would go many miles

I keep waiting for that moment
A moment to paint the sky in gold
And carve the clouds in sculptures
In pictures of alluring symphony
To reach the ears if my dream

My dream is jewel in a piece of flesh
A rare symbol in the realm of mortals
Spotless, priceless, bold and beautiful
A damsel with an angelic aura
My heartbeat, my heaven and earth

The Hart has found the Brooks
The owl has laid to its nest
And the field is bliss with Sunshine
But when will I find my dream
I've waited... And I'll yet wait for it.
