The Wall
When it was made it does not know,
Why it was made it sure does know
-to stand through rain, storm and snow.
An architect's vision and a workers labor,
Together combined,
To form an energy of a different kind.
It was made to hold the roof,
And protect whatever was inside.
It stood in its place,
Oblivious to who laughed and who cried.
Its been many years since its counterparts gave in,
Half the roof has fallen in.
The wall still stands unaware,
I like to believe that it doesn't care.
They made it look ugly by using every tool,
But its appearance never shook its foundation.
Most ignored it others called it a fool,
It stood just as a railway station.
Even today on that old road you can see,
The wall perfectly performing its duty.
And on further thought you will find,
It has been more successful than most of mankind...
