The Wedding Of A Poet And A Poetess Poem by Teenage Mawuto

The Wedding Of A Poet And A Poetess

Rating: 5.0

no seats were present
only a hundred words were invited
in the romantic air the words floated
the words were never silent
after all they were just words

all the words carried a rose
a Georgetown Tea Rose
as the poetess floated down the isle
the Georgetown Tea Roses
gave a blooming star-like appearance

the poetess was a queen of words
a queen who believed in words
a queen who used words for healing
a queen who listens & talks with words
a queen with a heart of words

the poet was a king of words
with words that are mightier than any sword
he grew up charming snakes with words
he succumbed to charming snakes
when he first laid eyes on this poetess

the wedding was on valentines day
the pastor was Saint Valentines
the guest of honour was Shakespeare
Romeo and Juliet were also there
a wedding made in heaven

Christ was also present
to perform his famous wine miracle

each and every second
words were sobbing
as the rings came out
words cried out loud
crying for their queen poetess

when the poet kissed the poetess
words broke into tears
then fell & broke to pieces
just like after Christ was baptised
the heavens opened up
